Who We Are

It all started in the 1960’s when Ray’s parents would move his family to the lake for the summers. The memories Ray made as a young boy on the shores of Priest Lake, Idaho are etched in his being. Those memories inspired the creation of Lakehouse Outfitters.

We began our retail adventures in 2009 with two locations; a tent in the fields of the World Famous First Monday Trade Days in Canton, Texas and our original store located in the Dallas Design District ( LHO Design and Consign, 2100 Irving Blvd). In 2012 we moved cold turkey to Star Harbor and shortly thereafter, we found the perfect location for our lake loving businesses in what had once been a liquor store.  We ripped plastic grape vines from the walls, scrubbed floors, painted walls and moved in.  Within (what seemed like minutes) customers that we had served in Dallas and also in Canton were stopping in to greet us with open arms and welcoming us to the lake.

In 2016 we brought Decorating Den Interiors to Cedar Creek Lake to better serve our clients with home furnishings, window treatments and design services. In 2020 our Covid Project included expanding our footprint, adding onto our building with a dedicated Design Studio.  The ability to work with clients and present custom solutions, tailored specifically to their project without driving to Dallas has been well received.   We consider ourselves problem solvers as each relationship starts with a conversation centered around a specific need.  How can we help?
